Inaccess expands its presence in Australia with 810 MW solar

  • On June 30, 2022

Inaccess is in the final stages of commissioning UNITY SCADA and CMS across three large utility-scale solar plants in Queensland, Australia, including the largest solar farm in the region at 480 MWp. With a combined capacity of 810 MW, these plants will produce 1.8 GWh of electricity annually, sufficient to power 350,000 homes.

Some of the assets are planned to be complemented by Battery Energy Storage Systems (up to 200 MWh) for maximum utilization of the flexible market prices. UNITY’s leading position in the BESS ecosystem will help the assets’ seamless hybridization in the future and guarantee maximum value in the transforming and dynamic energy market.

Already connected to the grid, the three plants are in different stages of completion and grid integration testing (holding points). UNITY RTU and Dispatcher interface them to the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) and Powerlink (grid operator) by decoding the real-time dispatch instructions from these entities and providing real-time feedback. Additionally, leveraging its significant accumulated experience in solar projects in Australia, Inaccess offers the EPC and the Owner unparalleled insights into the complex commissioning stages with UNITY SCADA.
