New 315MW PV plant in Argentina

New 315MW PV plant in Argentina

  • On December 1, 2020

Inaccess recently commissioned the UNITY SCADA & PPC at the largest Solar plant in South America. The 315 MW facility is located 4,020 meters above sea level, making it the world’s highest-altitude solar power project. With more than 1.1 million solar panels and more than 6,600 string inverters, the plant is expected to generate approximately 660GWh of clean electricity annually.

UNITY PPC is deployed in a Multilevel (Master/Slave) architecture for risk mitigation purposes across subfields with multiple inverter blocks and the plant has completed successfully grid compliance tests.

It is noteworthy that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Inaccess started and completed all SCADA and PPC related commissioning activities remotely with the dedicated support of the local team of the project’s EPC.

A 200MW extension has already been agreed upon and Inaccess looks forward to expanding our monitoring and control solution to support the full complex of 500MW in the future.
