	Private households are the second largest consumer of energy worldwide and the third largest emitter of carbon dioxide. Household appliances are responsible for approximately half of domestic electricity consumption and the trend is strongly upward as demand in the newly industrializing countries rises.

	InAccess Networks home gateways provide advanced protocols, techniques and interfaces to implement intelligent control of domestic loads and support signaling with backends that implement various energy strategies.
